At the start of this year, we have been taking time out of the daily rhythm to focus on our vision for 2025 — brainstorm ideas, setting goals and making plans for the year ahead. But before we fully turn the page on 2024, we want to take a moment to reflect on some of its highlights — both the successes and the challenges.
So what did we do in 2024?
We Re-branded
After 10 years, we felt it was time for a fresh look.
We spent months refining our brand guidelines to better express who we are and why we do what we do, culminating with a new logo and branding.
We Launched a New Website
A new look deserved a new online presence. Our updated website showcases our re-brand and helps us better connect with our community.
We Started a New Business
This year marked the launch of The Responsible Casting Company, born out of a commitment to ensuring that all our gold and platinum casting is sourced responsibly. While it’s still early days, our castings not only reflect our ethical values but also stand among the best we’ve ever seen.
Jos Became an Assistant and Trustee
Jos was honoured to become an Assistant to The Goldsmiths’ Company and a Trustee of The Goldsmiths’ Centre. This nearly 700-year-old Livery Company oversees hallmarking, trains the next generation of goldsmiths, and supports numerous charitable causes. Becoming a board member is a significant responsibility, but it’s also a meaningful way for us to give back to the industry we’re so passionate about.
We Created a New Collection
Our new collection, Frame, is crafted in 18ct yellow gold and platinum. Inspired by the grand staircase at Goldsmiths’ Hall, it combines timeless design with traditional diamond-mounting skills.
We had our social media stolen!
In September we had our Instagram account stolen and ransomed by a hacker. It took several weeks to get Meta to return the account to us. Thankfully we didn’t have to negotiate with the hacker!
We Gave Back to Our Community
When we finally reclaimed our Instagram we donated the £750 'ransom' money to The Felix Project. Through 1% for the Planet, we partnered with amazing charities, transforming your support into tangible good for our area through local food banks. We volunteered with Trees for Cities, contributing to the planting of new trees in our community.
